World Postal Worker Day

July 1, is recognised as World Postal Worker Day. This day encourages us to appreciate the hard work of the postal workers. Postal workers suffer a lot of hardships in their tedious 6-day journey each week. Postal workers complete their task even during extreme temperatures.

We all need to work together to make the lives of our postal workers a bit better each day. World Postal Worker day was started by Seattle-area postal carries in 1997. It had an estimation that a postal worker, on an average walks 4 - 8 miles every day delivering all the letters to your doorstop for your comfort.

As we are going through a pandemic of COVID-19, the World Postal Worker Day activities and campaigns are restricted to indoors that means the zoom way. You can take part in a trivia quiz on postal service. Share some lovely messages about the postal service in social media and educate everyone about the importance of postal workers.
