World Emoji Day

July 17, is recognised as World Emoji Day. The Emoji's, or Emoticons when arrived globally in 2007, we can safely tell that people literally got addicted to using these emojis. 'Emoji' is the Japanese word for 'picture word' and was created by Shigetaka Kurita in 1990.

Many people think that emojis are actually just cartoons but you will be shocked to learn that emojis were just the small doodles done on teen novels and books to attract them. Now there are 1800 emojis which are used on various platforms like Twitch, Youtube, WhatsApp, etc.

Every-year, on World Emoji Day there is a new pack of emoji which are released in the internet with a unique theme which is not released till the last moment. Now I have seen many people don't know what the emojis actually mean and just use it with prior knowledge :-

The Folded Hands

Emoji Meanings

If you've been using this much-debated icon to signify a high five, you're wrong. This is actually meant to be a person who is praying or bowing.

The "Hushed" Face
Emoji Meanings

This appears to be a shocked emoji, but it actually means "hushed." Use it next time you're in the library.

The "Information Desk" Person
Emoji Meanings

If you've been using this to express some sass, brace yourself for the much less exciting truth: It's just a helpful information desk person.

The Hot Springs
Emoji Meanings

This definitely looks like steam from a hot cup of tea or soup, but it actually means "hot springs."
