World Day of the Tropics

June 29, is recognised as World Day of the Tropics. The tropics is a region between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. They are also known as the torrid zone. They are generally hot and are humid as well.

The tropics constitute nearly 95% of the world's mangrove forests. Mangrove Forests are considered to be the single-man army for eliminating the Carbon-Dioxide and filling the air with the rejuvenating Oxygen. The beast Amazon rainforest is a part of the tropics which is the soul of the southern hemisphere.

Despite the natural beauty of the forests, the wildlife is in danger as well. The most exotic fauna live in the tropical rainforests and it is our duty to protect them. Let's all take a step back and reconsider some of our mean actions that have caused the destruction of the environment and rectify our mistakes.
